Though it is a break from our customary indie coverage, this is a story of some import, and we would be remiss if we failed to make some mention of it. 28 year-old Oscar nominated actor Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain, The Four Feathers) was found dead today in his New York apartment today in what appears to be a drug overdose. Pills were found in the vicinity of the bed upon which Mr Ledger was found, leading to speculations about suicide.
The Australian born Ledger created a buzz surrounding his role as The Joker in the latest installment of the Batman saga. He was previously nominated for an Academy Award for his role in Brokeback Mountain
